The Voute or Column (also called ‚Berliner Kehle‘) is the first thing you see when you wake up in a classic Berlin flat. Inspired by the round transitions from wall to ceiling in Berlin‘s old buildings, the stool appears to be cast in one piece. The CNC-milled parts made of solid oak show seamless transitions in a mixture of straight and curved lines that make you want to drive around the curves with a toy car like children often do on furniture. I transformed these two images into a design and the result is this stool.

Column was shown in October 23 at the Designblok Prague for the first time.
